Biography

Mihailo 'Misa' Janketic was born on May 24, 1938 in Novi Sad, Serbia, Yugoslavia. He was an actor, known for Sivi dom (1984), Wintering in Jakobsfeld (1975) and Happy People (1993). He was married to Svjetlana Knezevic. He died on May 15, 2019 in Belgrade, Serbia.

He is a professor of acting at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.

In December 2003, he received Life Achievement Award "Dobricin prsten" for his roles in Serbian theaters.

Father of actor Marko Janketic.

In August 2014, he received a Life Achievement Award "Pavle Vuisic" for his roles in Serbian cinematography.

His first name has also gotten transliterated Mihajlo, with an acute accent on the C in his last name. Serbian can get written in both Cyrillic and Latin.
