Biography

Walter James was born on June 3, 1882 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. He was an actor, known for The Monster (1925), Street Scene (1931) and Battling Butler (1926). He was married to Ida James (c.1880-1930). He died on June 27, 1946 in Gardena, California, USA.

Former stage actor who usually played authority figures, sheriffs, cops, captains, and so on, in silent films. Worked at Vitagraph, Pathe and Fox. Graduate of Georgetown University.
