Biography

Vani Jairam was born on November 30, 1945 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. She was a music artist, known for Pulimurugan (2016), Apoorva Raagangal (1975) and Meera (1979). She was married to Jairam. She died on February 4, 2023 in Chennai, India.

Besides Hindi & South has also sung for Marathi & Bengali Films.

Has won 3 National Awards for her songs down South & 1 Filmfare Award for her bhajan in Meera (1979).

Though she gained success & popularity with Guddi, eventually shifted base to South when offers in Bollywood started slowing down.
