In her pre-teen and teenage years (in the mid seventies) she often posed for semi-pornographic pictures. Most of these were taken by her mother, Irina Ionesco, and this fact created controversy.
Attended Les Amandiers theatre school in Nanterre in the 1980s under the tutelage of Patrice Chéreau and Pierre Romans.
