Biography

Six-times winner of the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans (1969, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1981 and 1982). Winner of 24 hour of Spa in 1966. Winner Sebring 12 Hour (1969, 1972). Winner of 8 Formula One Grand Prixs. Winner Rally Paris-Dakar Rally in 1983 on a Puch/Mercedes 280GE G. FIA Endurance World Champion for Drivers, in 1982 and 1983 (works driver for Porsche AG). Formula 1 World vice-Champion of Drivers, in 1969 and in 1970 as works driver for Scuderia Ferrari SEFAC.

Still competes in the odd historic events including the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in which hes a regular and plays an ambassador role for Porsche AG at these events

In 1984, he returned to F1, but as race director of the Monaco GP. Having stopped the race because of the rain, he is accused of having wanted to give the victory to Prost, while Senna went back to speed Grand-V on his opponents. Jacky will still ride in a sports car in 1984 and 1985, before retiring.

He started 114 Grands Prix, 8 Wins, 13 Pole Positions, 14 Fastest Laps, 25 Podiums and 181 Points.

He won the Triple Crown of Endurance Racing: 6 Hours of Daytona (1972), 24 Hours of Le Mans (1969, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1981, 1982) and 12 Hours of Sebring (1969, 1972).
