Sandra Ibarra López is a Spanish author, philanthropist, activist, and former model. She first gained public attention in the fashion industry before shifting her professional focus toward mass media and social advocacy. She is widely recognized for her frequent appearances on Spanish national television networks. After surviving leukemia twice, life changing experiences that reshaped her path during her early years in Madrid, Ibarra became one of the most influential voices for healthcare awareness in Spain and Latin America. In 2008, she established the Sandra Ibarra Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to funding scientific research, promoting cancer prevention, and improving patient welfare through institutional blueprints like her Escuela de Vida program. Her continuous advocacy has established her as a highly respected public figure, collaborating regularly with major television broadcasters such as RTVE, Antena 3, and Telecinco.As an author, she published her first autobiographical book titled Las cuentas de la felicidad: hay vida durante el cáncer in 2012. Later, in 2017, she coauthored the acclaimed publication Diario de Vida alongside journalist Juan Ramon Lucas. She balances her humanitarian work by driving major sector events such as the National Cancer Survivors Congress and the presentation of the Dama de la Lampara nursing awards.
