Until 1952, she performed at numerous Berlin theaters, including the Deutsches Theater, the Schlossparktheater, the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm, the Hebbel-Theater, the Theater am Nollendorfplatz, and the Theater am Kurfürstendamm. She then moved her stage activities to Hamburg, where she performed at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus, the Thalia Theater, and the Kammerspiele.

Ann Höling worked in radio as a radio play speaker (including the leading role in Geld spielt keine Rolle after Curt Riess, BR 1954) and since the 1950s also as a dubbing artist.

Ann Höling was a German actress. She completed her stage training as a student from 1939 to 1941 at the Bielefeld City Theatre under dance master Anny Menge and senior director Karl Bockx.

In 1948, Ann Höling made her feature film debut in the DEFA (= the state-owned film studio of the German Democratic Republic 'East Germany') production Chemistry and Love, directed by Arthur Maria Rabenalt. That same year, she followed with another DEFA film, And Again '48 (directed by Gustav von Wangenheim).

From 1949 onward, she appeared in various West German productions, including the school-set feature films Absender unbekannt (with Henny Porten as the principal) and Stips (with Gustav Fröhlich in the lead role). In 1941 she made her stage debut with a soubrette role in the revue Träum von mir by Erwin Bootz at the Kabarett der Komiker in Berlin.

Ann Höling died in November 2005 during a spa stay in India.
