- Bobby Hurley is an American basketball coach, and a former college and professional player. Hurley is the head coach of the Arizona State men's team. He was previously the head coach at Buffalo. Before becoming a head coach, he was an assistant coach for Wagner and an associate head coach for Rhode Island on the staff of his younger brother Dan.
As a player, he was an All-American at Duke University, where he won consecutive national championships. He is the all-time leader in assists in NCAA basketball. He played for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA from 1993-1997.
Hurley appeared in the feature film Blue Chips (1994), where he played for the Indiana team under coach Bobby Knight.

- Played basketball at Duke University and is the school's all-time leader in assists. Had a brief NBA career with the Sacramento Kings and Vancouver Grizzlies that was cut short following a near fatal 1994 car accident.
- December 12, 1993: Hurley's truck was struck by another car at a deserted intersection. His injuries were critical: two collapsed lungs, windpipe ripped from his lungs, a broken shoulder blade, five fractured ribs, a torn ligament in his right knee, a fractured lower back, a broken leg, and a sprained wrist. Not to mention numerous cuts and bruises.
- Returned to the basketball court on October 14, 1994 for a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He went on to play 68 games for the Kings after returning from injuries.
- In 1992, Hurley became the seventh basketball player in Duke University's history to have his jersey number (#11) retired.
