- Ian Hunter was born on June 3, 1939 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England, UK. He is an actor and composer, known for Fright Night (1985), Kill the Messenger (2014) and The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015).
- David Bowie wrote the song "All the Young Dudes" for Mott the Hoople in 1972. It became Ian's signature song, but was not written by him.
