- Christopher Hunter is an actor, writer and director known for Formula 51 (2001), Maurice (1987) and Mr Selfridge (2013). He has played leading roles with the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was born in Plymouth, Devon, UK and he has been married to actor and theatre producer Hilary Townley since 1984. They have two sons and they live in London.

- He and Duncan Gibbins met in the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Gibbins was best man at Hunter's wedding and godfather to his son. In November 1993 Gibbins was airlifted to Sherman Oaks Hospital after suffering severe burns while trying to save his cat in the forest fires in Topanga Canyon. Hunter flew immediately to LA but Gibbins died before he could reach him.
