Rob was the editor of the American Society of Cinematographers ASC Manual 8th edition in 2002, and then again in 2022 when he co-edited the 11th edition of the Manual with Cinematographer David Mullen ASC. Rob has also hosted several programs at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences having to do with evolution of film formats over the history of motion pictures, 3-D, Digital Cinematography, film restoration, and the importance of film laboratories on the legacy of cinema.
