Biography

Spike Hughes was born on October 19, 1908 in London, England, UK. He was a writer and composer, known for While Nero Fiddled (1944), Anything But Love (1951) and Frankie and Johnny (1950). He was married to Barbara McFadyean. He died on February 2, 1987.

Also a scriptwriter on radio of plays, features and opera, as well as a DJ and broadcaster since 1930, and a writer of TV ballet.

His wife, Barbara McFadyean (born 22nd September 1917 in London), was a radio announcer and interviewer and commentated on Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation.
