Born in Rockville Center, NY and growing up in New Haven, CT, Rick Hromadka became a musician at a young age. He later traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology, after which he landed a job at SabanEntertainment, writing songs for the Power Rangers and Sweet Valley High. While there, Rick learned music editing which later led to a job at Warner Brothers as a sound editor where he won three Emmys and three MPSE awards working on John Wells' shows ER, Third Watch, and the West Wing. After several years, Rick went over to Universal to work under sound supervisor Scott Hecker on a variety of films including Zack Snyder's "300", "Watchmen", and "Sucker Punch". After six years at Universal, he was offered a job at DreamWorks Animation as a sound supervisor and re-recording mixer working on almost all of their releases during his time there. Rick also developed sound and did on-site mixing for several of the DreamWorks theme parks located in London, Dubai, and Beijing; as well as the Comcast Universal Sphere located in Philadelphia. Rick's latest film "Dog Man" which he sound supervised and mixed for DreamWorks Animation was released on January 31, 2025, and was the #1 box office draw for two weeks in February.
