- Kiril Pop Hristov was born on July 30, 1967 in Skopje, Macedonia, Yugoslavia [now Skopje, North Macedonia]. He was an actor and composer, known for Makedonska saga (1993), Bal-Can-Can (2005) and Goodbye, 20th Century (1998). He died on March 11, 2026 in Ecuador.
- Moved to Ecuador with his family in 2014, where he owned a small farm that cultivated cannabis.
- Graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 1989.
- In 2013, a high-profile legal case involving him drew major domestic attention, after he was accused of cultivating a small marijuana plantation. He admitted it, but claimed it was only to produce medicinal oil for the cancer he had been diagnosed with.
