Bob Howard was born on June 20, 1906 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Murder with Music (1941), Junction 88 (1947) and Gifts in Rhythm (1936). He died on December 3, 1986 in Bronx, New York, USA.

Swing pianist-vocalist in the Fats Waller manner.

He became the first African-American host of a US network program (the 15-minute "The Bob Howard Show") in 1948 on CBS.
