Amy Van Horne is an American actor, screenwriter, acting coach, and award-winning producer. She holds an MFA from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she trained with William Esper and Maggie Flanigan.
Amy has worked professionally in film and television for over 30 years in Los Angeles and New York. Her acting credits include The City, The Big Easy, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, Veronica’s Closet, Judging Amy, Cold Case, and Final Sale.
In addition to her work as an actor, Amy has built a substantial career as a creative leader and producer. As Creative Director of a college-level Acting for Film department in New York, she shaped curriculum, mentored actors, and produced 25 short films and 15 plays. Her producing work is grounded in actor-centered storytelling, clear communication, and a deep understanding of how performance, writing, and production come together on set.
Amy also works as an on-camera audition coach, helping actors bring truthful, emotionally present work to the technical demands of film and television.
