The son of a race horse trainer and civil servant, Hondro was for years a drummer in blues bands. He's had nearly 100 film and television roles, appeared in numerous plays (nominated for a Jessie Award on 3 occasions) and was a member of Vancouver TheatreSports. He's written for television, performed in his own plays and published a novel. A father and a grandfather, Hondro says that he owes all the good things in his life to his wife, Tracey Wait.
