Samantha Holland(I)

Samantha Holland is known for her work as a theatre director and maker, theatre, film television and radio actress and as an illustrator and short film maker. She uses film in the theatre she creates blurring the boundary between art installation and performance. She started her career as a television child actor before attending the Guildhall School of Music & Drama between 1988 and 1991 and went on to work predominantly in theatre, particularly in new writing. She worked with some of the most radical and innovative writers and theatre directors in the UK between 1991 and 2003. Between 2004 and 2010 Samantha relocated to Valencia, Spain, and it was there that she started to forge a career as a theatre director and short film maker, combining her skill as an illustrator to make animations both 2D and stop frame 3D work. In 2010 she returned to the UK to continue to make mixed media theatre and art, and is directing a series of new writing.
