- Jack Hoar was born on January 13, 1948. He is an actor, known for To Live and Die in L.A. (1985), Shocker (1989) and A Dangerous Affair (1995).
- He is a 29 years LAPD veteran. Prior to this, he was with the US Army and did two tours in Vietnam.
- Is an expert marksman and taught shooting in Police Academy.
- Jack is a retired Police Officer from the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A.P.D. and was assigned to the now-infamous, Rampart Division.
- Besides the Rampart Division, he worked in LAPD's most toughest divisions: 77th Street, Newton, Central, Wilshire, Hollenbeck, Southeast and Southwest.
- During the actual shoot for U2: Where the Streets Have No Name (1987) Jack is the real-life LAPD officer who shuts down the actual filming of the video and can be seen about 0:27 seconds in and is the heavy voice chastising the people and requiring them to stop shooting immediately before they were to declare a "Tactical Alert" to call in the Riot Squad to clear the intersection of people who were showing at 7th & Main in Downtown LA up to watch it live.
