John Hinckley Jr. was born on May 29, 1955 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, USA. He is known for Hinckley (2024), Seeking Answers (2017) and I Shot the President (2026).

Selections from a letter he wrote to Jodie Foster were set to music by the rock group, Devo. The subsequent track, "I Desire", appears on their album "Oh, No! It's Devo".
