Harry Hershfield was born on October 13, 1885 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. He was a writer, known for Desperate Desmond Pursued by Claude Eclaire (1911), Desperate Desmond Almost Succeeds (1911) and Desperate Desmond Abducts Rosamond (1911). He was married to Sarah Janes Isdell. He died on December 15, 1974 in New York City, New York, USA.

March 11, 1938 - signed by M-G-M to head the story department of the studio's cartoon division which was producing animated one-reelers featuring "The Captain and The Kids."
