Ralph Hepburn(1896-1948)

Ralph Hepburn was born on 11 April 1896 in Somerville, Massachusetts, USA. He was an actor, known for The Crowd Roars (1932), 1925 Indianapolis 500 (1925) and 1927 Indianapolis 500 (1927). He was married to Ida Mae. He died on 16 May 1948 in Speedway, Indiana, USA.

Trivia
Competed in 15 Indianapolis 500 races between 1925 and 1948. Lost the 1937 race by a mere 2 seconds. Set an Indy Speedway track record in 1946 while driving a "Novi." Killed in a wreck on the track while practicing for the 1948 Indianapolis 500. He is interred at Forest Lawn, Glendale CA., in the Whispering Pines section at the top of the hill.
