Biography

Joan Hemingway was born in 1950. She is an actress and writer, known for Rosebud (1975), Going Out (1981) and Champion House (1967).

Was raised in Havana, Cuba, and Ketchum, Idaho.

Working as an artist in Ketchum, Idaho, close to the Hemingway family home.

Joan Whittlesey Hemingway is the older sister of Margaux Hemingway and Mariel Hemingway, daughter of Jack and Byra "Puck" Whittlesey Hemingway and granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, the author.

Joan Hemingway followed in the family tradition begun by her famous grandfather Ernest Hemingway, and was the co-author of the book, "Rosebud", and the co-author along with Connie Maricich of "The Picnic Gourmet", both of which were published in the mid-1970's.
