Alicia Hayes is an award-winning American filmmaker, writer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work spans directing, producing, painting, acting, and voice performance. She is the great-niece of renowned animator and painter Tom Ray, she carries forward a family legacy of cinematic and visual innovation while forging a distinctive creative voice of her own.
Alicia has worked extensively with three-time Emmy-winning Costume Designer; Birgit Muller of CBS's 'The Bold and the Beautiful' as a graphic designer, wardrobe stylist, and supervisor for over 10 years. During that time, She utilized that time on the set to absorb knowledge in all aspects of the filmmaking process.
In 2011 Alicia self-published two books; "Vero"--a book of poetry and her book simply titled "Alicia Hayes'--featuring her paintings. She has produced paintings for Larry King, Howard Hewett, and Jack Nicholson. In 2014 she combined all of her talents to make films. Alicia established the production company Vero 8 Pictures in 2015.
Her acclaimed screenplay "Pripyat" continues to earn international recognition across the global festival circuit. Hayes is currently developing several major projects, including "Axiom," a high-concept exploration of cosmology’s greatest minds as they collide in the pursuit of the universe’s origin; "Jezebel: Queen of Fire," her debut feature, reimagining the rise of one of history’s most formidable queens; "Sentenced," a documentary confronting the fate of unwanted shelter animals in Northwest Arkansas; and "Dad Calling," a dramatic short exploring the quiet echoes of a phone call.
Her upcoming book, "God Logic," extends her artistic reach into literature with a bold fusion of science, faith, and philosophical inquiry. Hayes’ body of work reflects a commanding visual style, thematic ambition, and a commitment to storytelling that is both emotionally resonant and cinematically bold.
