Biography

Mert Hatfield was born on January 27, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama, USA. He was an actor, known for Leatherheads (2008), Mississippi Burning (1988) and Lolita (1997). He was married to Fay Lois Groman and Mary Ellen Brown. He died on June 18, 2025 in Columbia, South Carolina, USA.

Before acting, he first served in the U.S. Navy. He later transferred to the U.S. Air Force where he retired from the service.
