Butch Hartman is an American animator, writer, director and voice actor who created The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy and Bunsen is a Beast for Nickelodeon. He also wrote the U.S. dub of Doogal. The Fairly OddParents is one of the longest running Nicktoons of all time, behind SpongeBob SquarePants. His cartoons, particularly The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom are staples of Millennial culture. He is married to Julieann Hartman.

Best known as the creator of several Nickelodeon shows such as The Fairly OddParents (2001), Danny Phantom (2003) and T.U.F.F. Puppy (2010).
In 2018 he launched a Kickstarter campaign for Oaxis Entertainment, a "family-friendly" streaming service. After allegations that Hartman neglected to disclose the service's programming would be Christian-themed, some backers accused him of deception and the campaign lost momentum, ultimately failing to reach its goal.
Rob Orpillia, aka Kuro the Artist, worked on Hartman's failed pilot Imaganathan and alleged that Hartman failed to pay him $1,400 for completing a piece of animation. Orpillia also claims Hartman stole the catchphrase "I created your childhood" from one of his emails.
