Betty Harte was born on 13 May 1882 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA. She was an actress and writer, known for The 'Epidemic' in Paradise Gulch (1912), The Schoolmaster of Mariposa (1910) and A Tale of the Sea (1910). She died on 3 January 1965 in Sunland, California, USA.

Adventurous American leading lady of early silent cinema. She appeared in westerns, period dramas and swashbucklers for the Selig company, invariably performing her own stunts. Harte had previously been a secretary for a newspaper.
