Biography

LaGena Lookabill was born on February 25, 1961 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. She is an actress, known for Shallow Hal (2001), Remington Steele (1982) and Cover Up (1984). She has been married to Daniel Greene since February 14, 1990.

Former Miss North Carolina Junior Miss and Miss Hawaiian Tropic.

Speaks across the country, telling her story and crusading for abstinence and AIDS.

The late NASCAR driver Tim Richmond has been accused by her of infecting her with HIV on September 10, 1986 in a New York hotel after he proposed marriage, then ghosted her. Richmond who was diagnosed with AIDS in December 1986, died of the disease in 1989. He is suspected of infecting multiple women with the disease before he died.

She graduated in the top 1% of her class from South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina with the Class of 1979, and won two scholarships to North Carolina State University for chemical engineering and Textile Chemistry. She attended NC State for one year; maintaining a 3.9 grade-point average while she was there. She then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill her sophomore year where she double majored in Psychology and Dramatic Art. She graduated from UNC with honors in 1984.
