Biography

Harvey Hart was born on August 30, 1928 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was a director and producer, known for Shoot (1976), Passion and Paradise (1989) and Folio (1955). He was married to Theresa Hart. He died on November 21, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Canadian-born, who had little success with theatrical features but switched to becoming a successful television director. He had attended the University of Toronto and begun his career at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1952, moving to Hollywood in 1963. His best work is almost certainly the miniseries East of Eden (1981).
