Biography

Kate Harrington was born in 1961. She is a costume designer, known for Rollerball (2002), The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) and The 13th Warrior (1999). She has been married to John McTiernan since July 19, 2003. They have two children.

Her daughter with John McTiernan is named Truman, after her famous unofficial adopted father, Truman Capote.

Her father, John O'Shea, was romantically involved with Truman Capote. Following the death of her father, she became Capote's unofficial adopted daughter.

She began her fashion career as an assistant to Diana Vreeland, an editor at Vogue at the time; then, she worked for Interview Magazine and Vanity Fair before finding her footing as a costume designer.
