Biography

Joseph Hardy was born on March 8, 1929 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, USA. He was a producer and director, known for James at 16 (1977), The Paper Chase (1978) and A Flame in the Wind (1964). He died on June 6, 2024 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA.

Won Broadway's 1970 Tony Award as Best Director (Dramatic) for "Child's Play." He had also been nominated in the same category the previous year, in 1969, for "Play It Again, Sam."
