Max Hardcore was born on August 10, 1956 in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. He was an actor and director. He died on March 27, 2023 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

On January 30, 2009, he turned himself into the US Marshals in Los Angeles to begin serving a 46 month sentence on obscenity charges. He is serving his sentence -- after a long stint held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Downtown L.A. -- at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) - La Tuna in Anthony, Texas. His released date is scheduled for July 19, 2011.
In 2004, the British documentary filmmaker Stephen Walker was able to prove in his Channel4 production "HARDCORE", in which he became an eyewitness to the practises of Max Hardcore on his own film set, that Max Hardcore's alleged "acting" of sadistic sexual conduct is not just a representation, but real and violent sexual abuse.

Is the fifth of six children of a working class couple, who grew up in Racine. His father operated a small advertising agency and died in 1978. His mother Peggy, born in 1918, and lives with her daughter Linda in Racine, Wisconsin.

I realized early on that to be successful you had to love what you were doing. And, above all, create something unique. You need brand-name identity.
The Max character is rough. I've carefully cultivated that image. Everybody, to be successful, has to be organized and have a clear goal of what needs to be accomplished. I like playing rough. It's not that I'm the heaviest hitter but I realized what would raise the heat level of the videos would be language.
Once people started seeing the vile and crazy shit I started doing in the early to mid '90s, many were shocked and disgusted, and predicted my imminent incarceration and future incineration in hell. When that didn't happen, and my videos became best sellers, they changed their tune and started their feeble attempts at trying to copy my moves. - On his films.
[in 2012] I have no regrets at all about the movies I've made and I still feel strongly that our government should not take it upon itself to impose censorship over the content of what adults choose to watch, read or consider. I felt then and I feel now that I had to fight the charge sin defense of free speech.
