Virginia Hammond was born on August 20, 1893 in Staunton, Virginia, USA. She was an actress, known for Chandu the Magician (1932), Romeo and Juliet (1936) and Torch Singer (1933). She was married to Edward Earl Grady. She died on April 6, 1972 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.

She was a good friend of actress Edna May Oliver, and was at Miss Oliver's side when she died in hospital.

Supporting actress of the 1930's, mainly seen as aristocrats or upper crust socialites. Came from the repertory stage and began in films with Vitagraph in 1916.
