Gertrude B. Hamilton was born in 1886 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. She was a writer, known for The Hushed Hour (1919). She died in 1972 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.

Gertrude Brooke Hamilton was the older sister of Mark Hamilton and Joseph Hamilton, both character actors. She wrote over 100 short stories that appeared between 1908 and the early 1930's. Most of her short fictional stories appeared in: The Green Book Magazine, The Red Book Magazine, The Blue Book Magazine, The Black Mask, Ainslee's Magazine, The New Parisienne, Every Week, Harper's, Young's magazine, The Smart Set, Smith's magazine, The Cavalier, Pictorial Review, Breezy and Short Stories, Good Housekeeping, Munsey's, and Gunter's magazine.
