Biography

Gerry Hambling was born on June 14, 1926 in Croydon, Surrey, England, UK. He was an editor, known for Mississippi Burning (1988), Midnight Express (1978) and The Commitments (1991). He was married to Margaret Speakman. He died on February 5, 2013 in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, England, UK.

Co-founder, The Guild of British Film Editors.

Known for often editing film for Alan Parker.

Started as a sound editor with Pinewood Studios in the 1950's.
