Biography

Tamar Halpern's doc Llyn Foulkes One Man Band ("A joy to watch," The Hollywood Reporter, "Undeniably fascinating," Variety) was Oscar nominated. Prior work includes the award-winning feature Shelf Life ("a whip-smart film that taps into a fresh source for American comedy" Variety) and the comedy Death Taxes and Apple Juice, invited to 40+ festivals and winning 16 awards.

The first person authorized by the Roald Dahl estate to write in his voice, she's written and directed commercials for YSL, DeBeers and Amazon. A proud alumna of Hedgebrook, she teaches directing at Chapman University.
