    Hungarian actor, born into an aristocratic family with a strong military tradition. Making his debut on the operatic stage in Budapest, he later joined Max Reinhardt's company in Berlin. He appeared in German films of the 1930's, often in elegant or sophisticated roles. Conscripted for military service, he was killed in action in November 1944 during the Soviet attack on Budapest.
