Rob Halford
Rob Halford is a British musician, songwriter and producer, best known as the vocalist of the British heavy metal band Judas Priest. Rob's vocal talent was first discovered at the age of eight, when he sang in the school choir. But his talent didn't fully develop until he became a teenager, when he developed a more active interest in music. He joined his first band at the age of 15. The band was called Thakk, and its lead guitarist was a schoolteacher. At the time, he wasn't seriously interested in music, and after finishing school, he had no idea what he wanted to do next. Soon, Halford read an advertisement in the local newspaper for a job at the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton, where he took a job with great pleasure. He worked as an apprentice lighting technician and played several amateur roles on stage. It was then that Rob developed a real desire to perform on stage. When he left the theatre, he really wanted to take up music, but he wasn't entirely sure that he could do anything in particular. He formed a band called Lord Lucifer and later renamed it Hiroshima. That's when Rob got his first real taste of rock. This lasted about a year, and then he joined Judas Priest.

In August 1974, the band debuted with the single 'Rocka Rolla', and a short time later, an album of the same name was released. Subsequent albums included Sad Wings of Destiny (1976), which included various older material; Sin After Sin (1977), and the 1978 albums Stained Class and Killing Machine. In 1980, the band released British Steel. The songs on the album were short and radio-friendly. The 1981 album Point of Entry also brought the band significant success. The 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance achieved considerable success in the US, featuring the hit single 'You've Got Another Thing Comin''. In total, Judas Priest recorded 15 studio albums and three live albums with Halford, which received mixed critical acclaim and achieved commercial success. They have sold over 35 million albums worldwide.

Halford is often regarded as one of the greatest metal frontmen and singers of all time. He has one of the strongest and highest voices in metal, which, coupled with his artistic charisma, allows him to perform songs with a very wide vocal range.
