Jack Haley Jr. was born on October 25, 1933 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a producer and director, known for Hollywood and the Stars (1963), Life Goes to War: Hollywood and the Home Front (1977) and 100 Years of the Hollywood Western (1994). He was married to Liza Minnelli. He died on April 21, 2001 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

In his documentaries about dancing his name is shown over a photo/film of his father.

He is the son of actor Jack Haley, who played the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (1939). Jack, Jr. was married for several years to Liza Minnelli, daughter of Judy Garland, who played Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz".

Ex-son-on-law of Vincente Minnelli.

Was once engaged to Nancy Sinatra.

Won Peabody awards for TV documentary work in 1961 and 1964 as producer of Biography (1987) series, then director of "National Geographic Specials".
