  • Grit Haid was born on March 14, 1900 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. She was an actress, known for Es war einmal ein treuer Husar (1929), Der gefesselte Polo (1929) and Die Tochter des Brigadiers (1922). She died on August 13, 1938 in Schwarzwald, Germany.

  • Brunette Austrian leading lady and dancer, the daughter of a violin maker. On screen from 1915 and at her peak during the 1920's. Usually cast as charming, vivacious Viennese girls. Died on the way to a theatrical engagement in Paris when her plane crashed near Lauterbach in the Black Forest in August 1938.
  • The actress Grit Haid made her film debut already in 1915 but her real career began in the middle of the 20's and she became soon a popular actress.
  • She was married to writer and producer Josef Than (1903 - 1985).
  • Her sister Liane Haid was also an actress and went down in film history as the first Austrian movie star.
