Biography

Frank Hagney was born on April 20, 1884 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was an actor, known for It's a Wonderful Life (1946), Ride Him, Cowboy (1932) and The Sea Beast (1926). He was married to Edna M. Keating Shephard and Ethel Scott. He died on June 25, 1973 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Before becoming an actor/stuntman he was a professional boxer. He fought a match with heavyweight Luis Firpo (he lost) and was both an opponent and sparring partner of heavyweight Jack Johnson.

Australian-born actor and stuntman who appeared in Hollywood westerns as Indians, assorted gang members and lawmen from 1919. He had previously performed in vaudeville and was also a professional heavyweight boxer from 1914-21.
