Allen Haff is a lifelong antique dealer, appraiser, television personality and animal rescuer whose passion for uncovering forgotten treasures began long before television found him.
Raised by an antique-dealer mother and a used-car salesman father, Allen spent his summers attending estate sales and auctions throughout Michigan. At 12 years old, he bought, restored and sold a worn antique steamer trunk for $300, igniting a lifelong passion for finding value in forgotten things.
While buying and selling antiques to fund his education Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College, studying English, Journalism and Psychology. At 24, he opened his first antique store in Houston, Texas, where he built a reputation as a knowledgeable dealer with an eye for Americana and unusual finds.
After booking a national television commercial, Allen moved to Los Angeles in 2000 in search of what he calls "more fun and bigger finds." He founded Angel City Sales, an estate sale and consignment company that has helped hundreds of Southern California families liquidate estates, collections and personal property for more than two decades.
Allen’s real-world experience led to his first television role on Clean House, where he became known as "The Yard Sale Guy." He uncovered valuable items, appraised family heirlooms, convinced homeowners to turn their clutter into cash through his yard sales, helping fund more than 50 home makeovers. The show’s success led to additional television opportunities.
Allen was then selected to co-host Auction Hunters, which became Spike TV’s highest-rated original series. Across more than 100 episodes, Allen not only co-hosted the series but also helped shape much of its creative direction.
Today, Allen continues to own and operate Angel City Sales while traveling the country hunting auctions, appraising collections and uncovering America’s rarest finds.
