Biography

Laoura Hadzivageli

Mini bio

  • Laoura Hadzivageli, was one of the most prominent Greek models of the 1980s. Considered one of the queens of the Athens runway and among the country's first true top models, she became the muse of designer Vassilios Kostetsos, who helped propel her to stardom in the Greek fashion scene. She briefly appears -from a distance- in For Your Eyes Only (1981), in the swimming pool scenes. Although her on-screen presence is minimal, she also took part in promotional photos for the film, wearing a black bikini in group shots. Her international career also included notable highlights: Guy Laroche selected her from among 200 models for his fashion show in Athens, a milestone that cemented her reputation as an exceptionally elegant runway model. In 1989, at the height of her fame, Laoura met and married Giorgos Zeritis. She gradually stepped away from the fashion world to start a family, eventually disappearing from the public eye after the birth of her two children. Throughout her career, her name became synonymous with elegance, glamour, and the so-called "golden age" of Athenian high society, making her a symbol of style and sophistication in Greece.
