Biography

After leaving his roots of Southern New Jersey in 1997 to pursue a career in Film/TV, Johnny immediately got to work at Stu Segall Productions in San Diego. Working non-stop during that time, Johnny was trained in handling multiple levels of production and demanding conditions by some of the best ADs in the business. It readied him for a move to LA in 2001 where he began expanding his network and working on some of the highest budgeted TV shows on television. As time permitted, Johnny also took on projects as a Non Union 1st Assistant Director to gain the required number of days to join the Directors Guild of America. Fortunately his ties to San Diego aided in his recruitment to First AD two seasons of episodic shows for My Network TV(since changed name to the CB). During those roughly 140 episodes and over two years as a First AD helped refine his professional Dedication and build confidence to manage an safe, efficient set. Upon returning to Los Angeles and joining the DGA Johnny worked to learn new management techniques and build relationships. Throughout the last 15 plus years he has worked with professionals that have shaped Johnny into a calm, dedicated and driven Assistant Director who will always be searching for other collaborators that have the same goals, to create a stress free environment for those who create!
