Pentti Haanpää was born on 14 October 1905 in Pulkkila, Finland. He was a writer, known for Reppuselkäinen mies ja laiha hevonen (1981), Vierailu (1982) and Isännät ja isäntien varjot (1976). He was married to Aili Haanpää. He died on 30 September 1955 in Pyhäntä, Finland.
