Biography

Catja Görna was born on November 18, 1922 in Berlin, Germany. She was an actress, known for Meine Frau Teresa (1942), Die letzte Nacht (1949) and Export in Blond (1950). She was married to Eugen York and Rüdiger Renn. She died on September 13, 1996 in Berlin, Germany.

Blonde leading lady of Dutch-German parentage, briefly popular in films of the immediate post-war period. She was trained as a ballet dancer from the age of four and acted on stage in Berlin by her late teens. In 1946, she married the director Eugen York, appearing in several of his films. After her acting career came to an end, she went to work as a voice-over artist.
