Rose is a Filipino lesbian, mother, filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada. Her work is grounded in her activism advocating for queer rights and racial equity.
Rose successfully launched a career as a director/producer with Isis Productions, releasing several films, including TAMA BA TAMA NA: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1993.
Despite this initial success, Rose pivoted her career to become Program Director of SKETCH Working Arts and for years mentored hundreds of young QTBIPOC artists, curating politically impactful public art projects.
Rose recently re-ignited her film career, as the Executive Producer on Min Sook Lee's Migrant Dreams and shortly after directed and produced her first short documentary, Trajectories of Now.
