- Mordechay Gur was born on May 6, 1930 in Jerusalem, Palestine [now Israel]. He was a writer, known for Azit Hakalba Hatzanhanit (1972), A Search for Solid Ground: The Intifada Through Israeli Eyes (1990) and 60 Minutes (1968). He died on July 16, 1995 in Israel.
