Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Pierre Guffroy was born on 22 April 1926 in Paris, France. He was a production designer and art director, known for The Tenant (1976), Tess (1979) and Elevator to the Gallows (1958). He died on 27 September 2010 in Chalon-sur-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, France.

Oscar-winning French art director and production designer, often associated with the films of Bresson, Bunuel and Polanski.

Guffroy studied sculpture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and attended classes at the Institute for Advanced Film Studies from 1951 to 1953.
