Juan Manuel Guerrero was born on 24 December 1924 in East Chicago, Indiana, USA. He was an actor, known for Una canción para recordar (1960), El puma (1959) and México lindo y querido (1961). He was married to Carmen Garibay. He died on 7 March 1979 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

His parents were Antonio Guerrero Zepeda and María Concepción Rea Quintero, originally from San Martín de Hidalgo, Jalisco.

The day before performing with Xavier Cugat on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1957, Juan Manuel visited his two-year-old son André. He proudly told his son that if André watched closely on television the following night, he would see his father give him a wink.
